ADELAIDE GREASE ARRESTOR INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
ADELAIDE GREASE ARRESTOR INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
TRADE WASTE... WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?
Every trade waste project is unique and we, as Australians, all need to understand why we need to Pre-treat our waste water prior to it entering our water catchments.
Its basic:
If we remove the oil and solids from our waste water, our drinking and potable water quality will improve. So we all have to do our part, and unfortunately it comes at a monetary cost for those who produce the most oil and fat in business. This is where a Grease Arrestor Installation is required
Here are some things you need to know about trade waste and grease arrestors to help with your application.
- You will need the best Trade Waste Plumbers on the job. With 22 years experience in the Industry you can rest assured Dan Bull and the Habitat team have the expertise required.
- You will need to provide the Volume of Trade Waste (litres) each day you are going to produce. A list of gas appliances and plumbing fixtures will determine this volume.
- You will need to provide the MSDS of Products you use in the process and cleaning.
- You will require the Grease Arrestor Type.(we will carefully choose an approved pre-treatement system and arrestor from SA waters guidelines)
- You will require Ongoing Maintenance of the system you install.
What do you need to do?
Commercial trade waste discharge is only permitted after a written application has been received by SA Water and the trade waste is assessed as acceptable.
For the waste to be acceptable it must first be pre-treated in a food and oil interceptor (Grease Arrestor) of a sufficient size for the volume of waste water generated by your business activities.
The size and type of your business needs to be taken into account when planning your trade waste requirements, i.e. If You own a Restaurant or Café you’ll need to supply:
- The number of kitchen fixtures that generate wastewater (such as sinks and dishwashers)
- The seating capacity.
- MSDS of products used
We will use this information to establish the correct size food and oil interceptor for your business. Council approval may also be required for all internal food and oil interceptor installations.
